BEAD CHALLENGES

Twice a year, members are presented with a challenge to create something within certain guidelines. Members vote, and prizes are awarded.

Spring 2026 Challenge Announced – Glass!

This Challenge centers on a material – GLASS! What you make must have a glass element – large bead or beads, glass that is not a bead, item you construct out of glass beads (not seed beads), or pieces of glass that take center stage! The rest of your piece can be anything, including seed beads; any technique, any material, any sort of object; just have fun and make something fabulous! Winter 2026 Challenge Winners Announced – Map It!

Maps can call many things to mind road maps, treasure maps, Genome models, illustrations of imaginary places, or even spiritual pathways. The BBS members outdid themselves once again with creativity and imagination. Sit back and enjoy the various “Map It” interpretations in the first Bead Challenge of 2026.
