Monthly Programs

We are currently on summer break. Our monthly program meetings will resume in September.

We are still finding our footing after the closure of the Howard County Center for the Arts’ High Ridge Rd location. Most of the meetings in our 2026-2027 year are planned to be held at the Charlestown Retirement Community at 715 Maiden Choice Lane, Catonsville, MD 21228, exact location TBD.

All visitors are welcome. If you are interested in attending virtually, please email the BBS Membership Chair at bbsmemberchair@gmail.com for the meeting link. After two meetings, we hope you will become a member.

Arrive by 6:30pm to enjoy time connecting and sharing a light meal (normally potluck). The Program meeting starts promptly at 7:00pm. Meetings start with a short business informational session followed by a program with a visiting artist or speaker. Our artists and speakers, nationally known in beading and jewelry making, offer our members an opportunity to meet and learn from the very best.

Other programs may also consist of free night of instruction on basic topic, a new technique, a social event such as a holiday party, or an introduction to a local vendor selling beads, supplies, or jewelry.

At each in person program, we have a freecycle table of jewelry supplies, and a “Wear and Share.” Everyone is welcome!
