Class Description

Skill Level:
No experience with wire needed; requires average hand strength and dexterity to use two pairs of pliers at once and perform repetitive motions

Students new to wire work will create elegant earrings featuring a luxurious cascade of crystals, while learning to make simple loops and properly open and close jump rings.

  • Written instructions
  • (8) 4mm crystal bicones, color A
  • (8) 4mm crystal bicones, color B
  • (8) 4mm crystal bicones, color C
  • (8) 4mm crystal bicones, color D
  • (8) 4mm crystal bicones, color E
  • (2) 10mm crystal or glass pearl beads, color F (except Lagoon, which includes 9mm genuine freshwater pearls)
  • (40) 24-gauge headpins at least 1/2” long
  • (2) 24-gauge headpins at least 3/4” long
  • (10) 22-gauge 5mm jump rings
  • (2) ear wires

(metals in kit are silverplated copper and brass)

Teacher Bio

Jessah Tiemens has been making jewelry since 2002. Her designs have been published in BeadStyle magazine and other publications, and she has won first place in the Fire Mountain Gems beadwork contest.

Cancellation Policy

There will be no refunds given on classes canceled by the student after the registration deadline (one week before the start of class). A student who cancels will receive class handouts and any materials that are supplied by the instructor. If you are unable to come, please let the instructor know as soon as possible.

Class Registration Policy

Registration and payment MUST be done at least a week before the date of the class; this provides a minimal amount of time for the instructors to prepare for the class. Registration can be done in person at a meeting, or online. Always include contact info (email address and phone no., plus date and time and title of class, cost, check number) when registering for a class. If you pay at a meeting with cash, please be sure to get a receipt. No late sign-ups are permitted unless approved by the instructor in advance of the class; no walk-ins allowed. A late fee of $10 will be assessed for late registration. If you do get permission to register late, contact class coordinator to determine how to pay. Minimum of 3 students required for this class.
