Education, Philanthropy, and Outreach
Founded over 30 years ago, in Maryland, the Baltimore Bead Society is a regional arts guild composed of bead enthusiasts, creative artists, and jewelry designers.
Through our monthly meetings, classes, and workshops, we share our common interests in all forms of beading, varied jewelry-making techniques, and in the history and culture of beading throughout the world.
We supply an inclusive, supportive and social environment for all of our programs.
Our monthly meetings are held on the Second Tuesday of each Month, September through June, at the Howard County Center for the Arts, 8510 High Ridge Road in Ellicott City, Maryland from 6:30 to 9:00 pm. All visitors are welcome and after two meetings, we hope you will become a member.
We have an annual Bead and Jewelry Show which is our biggest event of the year. At the show, we host multiple vendors and suppliers, offer workshops, and display examples of our member’s work.
We are a federally recognized 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
